Yellowstone Basin & The Missouri River
Private Water a Specialty!
We are dedicated to the belief that there is more to fishing the great waters of Montana than just wetting a line. Indeed, the great fishermen with whom we have fished always seemed to be a cast beyond the ordinary. To them, the essence of flyfishing was much greater than time spent in the boat, total fish released, and the many other arbitrary standards so prevalent in today's competitive world. They felt, as we do, that there is a philosophical thread that binds a flyfisher to his environment -- unique settings under the Big Sky and an appreciation and understanding of the flora, fauna, and geology here in this, the last best place. "The care of rivers is not a
question of rivers, but of the human heart."

The Boulder River flows North from the Beartooth Absaroka
Wilderness Area and enters the Yellowstone River at Big
Timber. Notorious for glaciated rubble ("bowling
balls") covered w/ slick algae, it fishes best from a raft
in early July. However, we do have permission to fish a
number of private ranches in the area.
Enjoy
the spectacular beauty of South-Central Montana while in pursuit
of native trout. We offer spring, summer, and fall fishing
coupled with over 29 years experience outfitting fly fishermen.
Our fishing trips are specifically tailored to your desire for
solitude, your ability, and your fishing experience. We offer
beginner through advanced instruction in both fly casting and fly
fishing.

Float trips on the
Yellowstone River, wading trips on unspoiled mountain freestone
creeks, or casting for humongus rainbows in our local trophy
ponds
-- we know the water -- when, where, and how.
